This toy is very cute but I originally bought it for my youngest son (2 years old). The set includes many different boys and different difficulty levels of what Marshall wants to give him. letter vs color etc. The toy works by inserting the correct bone into Marshall's mouth where the problem occurs. This toy is a great idea, but it has many disadvantages. Marshall is completely flat at the back and only three-dimensional at the front. So if you try to put a bone in his mouth, he'll fall over. You have to lay it flat on the ground to put the bones in your mouth and that makes it harder. That's cute. I don't like it, thought I would. I thought the bones went into his mouth and fell into his stomach, but they didn't. You insert a bone and depending on what mode you are in you will be told about that specific bone but then you have to take it out and put another bone in etc. My 2 year old has trouble putting bones in - and get out.
