First, the phone works. The one-page manual that came with the device describes the features but doesn't explain how to access them! So I went to the VTech website to download the detailed manual. About 2 weeks after I installed the system it went off in a very strange way. Both the base station handset and the wireless extension are out of service. I couldn't take calls and I couldn't get a dial tone. I restarted everything and was finally able to hear a beep on the base unit speaker, but still not on every handset.
