I like! for cycling

I installed it on a GMC Denali racing bike and am very satisfied! I use this bike as a trainer in my area and needed a larger crankset than stock. This option is perfect.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires socket

Great system for the money

It's been almost 2 years, over 10,000 miles. Suburb / Racer. No problem. Excellent rod for your money. It was hardcore. Fully punished! 52/42/30. The only small issue was that my 9ยฐ look was wearing off so my boots had the logo from the crank.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No Instructions

Reliable connecting rod at a great $25 stock price

This is exactly what I was looking for. Reliable connecting rods at a great stock price of $25. FYI, it also comes with a left hand (not pictured). It took a bit of fiddling to get my old switch to fit. One note: 5 unpainted socket head cap screws (rivets?) are prone to rusting after getting wet. I applied silicone spray to each one.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Safety

Inexpensive: Sport

Bought for use with Shimano 5703 brifters on a touring bike, wanted to see if I could do a triple with an 11 speed cassette. Since I have a 73mm bottom bracket, I can't use Hollowtech type cranks. The beast is made of steel and is very heavy. Although this has been presented as a 10sp interval, I don't believe it. Had to be installed on a 118mm spindle which made shifting rough. After about 150 miles I went up and bought a Campy Race Triple which is better in every way. But that's a third ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expensive

Solid and heavy. the best in connecting rods

Replaced a smaller crankset (42 teeth) on a mountain bike with this one to get a higher gear ratio. It's quite heavy - in my case it's not critical. Suitable for bikes with fairly narrow gaps, proper chainline is achieved with BB-UN55 118mm cartridge. All three gears work with the existing derailleur. Please note that special tools are required to replace the connecting rod system. You only need a crank puller for cranks. If replacing the bottom bracket as well, add a bottom bracket removalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • everything is fine!
Cons
  • Something different

but it's pretty cheap. I went for a short walk.

I'm not exactly sure what steel the sprocket is made of but it's pretty cheap. After installing the new crankset, I took a short walk - after about 40 minutes and a stop at a red light, I got up to start moving again and completely flexed the 52t chainring. I've never seen this before on any of my other bikes or chainrings. I'm not a small guy, but I'm not heavy enough (or strong enough) to bend steel on a day-to-day basis either. The Revain guy was kind enough to give me my money back andโ€ฆ

Pros
