Cheap and Useless

I need customs markings. I wanted this for cutting cardboard. Four light sheets (65 pounds) snapped all four. It wasn't even possible to get a clean cut on a sheet. I would never trust that on my 100-110 lb box. Returned as soon as possible. (I think I took it out of the box in less than 30 minutes!)

Pros
  • Metal Base Plate with Grid Ruler and 45 Degree Guide helps you adjust page alignment and get perfect cuts every time!
Cons
  • Obsolete

Cut. That. Out of!

For the money, this Gilatine couldn't be better. I've had no trouble cutting 5 sheets of office paper, premium photo paper, or 80 pound cards. The build quality is excellent and the compact size is welcome. ** It can be difficult to see where the gilatine is being cut. The plastic paper guide does not reach the cutting line**

Pros
  • Plastic protector keeps pages in place while cutting. Has a safety bolt to prevent injury.
Cons
  • A few little things

Disappointing product. Returned.

I was very disappointed with this product and ended up returning it for a product that better suited my needs. This product had a tiny bit of plastic on the "blade" that caused the paper to tear, which I was literally trying to cut every time. I know there seems to be a way to use it, but I don't think they're talking about a millimeter of plastic. I also expected it to be less heavy than it was. I don't know what I expected when almost everything is metal. I ended up buying one that cuts 8.5…

Pros
  • Friction-based bladeless cutting edge cuts cleanly through friction rather than a sharp edge, making it safer to use.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
