Description of One-Way Perforated Vinyl Privacy Window Film - Adhesive Glass Wrap Roll (36in x 54in)

Acrylic-base adhesive is easy to apply and remove. Requires no previous wrapping experience. Micro-perforated surface allows for one-way vision; see through the black side, not through the white side. Protects commercial store displays and helps to prevent break-ins, thefts and vandalism. Easy clean surface is a breeze to maintain and air-release adhesive makes the film simple to replace is vandalized. Grime and scratch resistant surface lasts 4-7 years on outdoor surfaces, up to 10 on indoor surfaces.

Not good in the rain

I LOVE these things except rain! Nothing is visible. I tried Rainx but it didn't work, but I've since found that you have to put laminate on it to be able to see in the rain.

Works perfectly! in Window Stickers & Films

I love this stuff. Gives us privacy during the day without closing the curtains and protects from direct sunlight. It actually made our boat a little cooler. Looks great both inside and out. Ordered more windows for the whole boat.

Don't waste your money.

I received my order for this product on time as scheduled. When I opened it there was no description how to install it on my windows. I went online, looked at the horrible videos that were being shown. Needless to say, that shit went in the trash. For example a waste of money.

It goes beyond the glass.

The good thing about this is that it does what it's supposed to do which is give you privacy during the day. Even at night when the light outside is brighter than inside the house/car. BUT. Since you have to stick this on the outside of your window, cleaning your windows becomes a nightmare. All those small holes become dust catchers and you can't wipe out the dust.

  • Best in Niche
Cons

Poor quality is the best among home decoration products

The product is covered with sticky black glue all over, which allows dirt to stick to the surface. I cleaned with an alcohol cleaner (after installation) but it still didn't come off. The vinyl had small cuts around the edges that got worse upon installation. The vinyl also had creases/bubbles under the vinyl which made installation extremely difficult. I am not very happy with this product.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

Easy install, works great

Bought this product to put on our garage windows as the sun was reflecting off the window onto our artificial grass pitch and it was melting (over 150 degrees!). It was very easy to cut and install - I had to rearrange it and it wasn't difficult to take it off and straighten it back out. Cutting off the excess with a small blade was also very easy - I even did it without a ruler and it turned out very well. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Great for me

  • No instructions

It could have been perfect if it wasn't for the twist in the role.

A roll of Prime film arrived quickly in a box large enough not to need folding. However, the roll had a few inches of crease on one side, enough that I had to use the crease section. I stuck the film to the back windows of the van and where the bend was in the roll the film buckled. Before applying the film, I splashed water on the window and continued smoothing to get rid of the bubbles. Eventually the bubbles diminished but left marks on the film in the form of dark streaks where the curl had

Great way to get rid of glare!

I don't need solid lens tint and I used something similar (just totally static, non-tacky) when my son was a kid. This time I needed large parts for the large side windows of our van. I didn't want to cobble together what's found in the children's sections, so I went for the role instead. I really liked the white interior option! It took me about 15 minutes to "install" one side, but I learned a lot, so it only took me 3-4 minutes to install the other side! Work slowly and carefully. I leveled…
