WAC Lighting HTK 178 WT Voltage Finish Review

Bought to replace some lights at my parents house. They're not very stylish, but they're fitting, so to speak. I bought two of these so it wouldn't look weird that they didn't fit the other two mounts that weren't broken and I couldn't find an exact replacement. I couldn't appreciate the brightness because they were just lights with no bulbs.

I needed to replace two LED heads with an L series bus but couldn't find anything at Revain or locally. It seems that everything for the H series. So I started replacing my L track with an H track and was looking for the parts I needed when I came across these heads that not only fit H track but also L and J track were available. They have saved me a lot of time and hassle and I am very very satisfied.

The light is good value for money. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the fixture is a little tricky to install. You have to push the tab really hard and twist it to insert the mount into the rail. But in general, once installed, the device looks beautiful and is easy to adjust. I use 9 of these in my basement with LED spotlights and adjustable light switches and they really improved the brightness in the break room.

A little expensive but very easy and FAST to install, beautiful and functional. Most importantly, THE LIGHT IS NOT INCLUDED which is a HUGE plus in my book. I was fed up with countless lights that came with an LED bulb that was supposed to last another ten years and then stopped working after a few months (and sometimes even that). Nice little head that looks great with Philips Hue PAR16 LED bulbs. It's nice that heads are still being made for line level J tracks, which peaked in popularity nearly 50 years ago. I threw away all the giant 1970's cans that made the track look dated and replaced them with these. You are beautiful and look great in my gallery. I wanted a fixture that would allow the LED bulbs to breathe because some of them were failing and I was told that when the lights are big in the jars, heat builds up inside and this can cause problems with the bulbs. Also, it allows me to use any size lightbulb, not just small ones. They're pretty easy to install, but they can only go one way. Be careful, otherwise they can easily break. A lot of research has been done on track lighting, particularly with LED lights. With WAC Lighting as the manufacturer of all parts except the lamps, I ordered 8ft and 4ft sections of HTK-178-WT H series white track, power connectors, couplers and lightheads.
