Hunter fan? fits accessory

Not sure I wired it right, match was 1 to 1 except red is rated 250 instead of 300 like the old one. Other reviews say it works for the Hunter and has the same 300 rating on their old one. I'll keep playing around

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not bad but...

My Hampton Bay fan was repaired

An exact replacement for the Hampton Bay fan that was slowing down to near zero. The old cap cracked and the slime flowed. I had to connect 3 wires so I have 3 small nuts on hand. Order two more fans with the same problem. Fans are in their 20s.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Compatibility

Perfect fit for my Hunter ceiling fan

Perfect fit for my Hunter fan. I was able to use the quick release clamp to work it on my lap. You'll need a small tool to unclip some of the wires. I took these photos to help me remember the positions. Now my fan has 3 speeds again.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Secret

Works great, best in accessories

Bought this for my ceiling fan that wasn't running at the right speed on high, medium or low. Bought this replacement capacitor and my ceiling fan is working properly again. Just connect it to the switch with a capacitor of the right color, otherwise it can now work correctly at certain speeds.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Fixed my 3 speed slow running fan

Used this to fix a 3 speed Hampton Bay fan that was only running at low speed. It had all the correct pins and values and was easy to install with wire nuts. Can also be easily accomplished with crimp connectors. Works perfectly so far, saved a lot of money

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Some trouble

Perfect fit for my Hunter fan

The fan in our new house was always running slow so after troubleshooting I decided I needed to replace the capacitor. This capacitor worked great for my fan. The wire colors weren't quite the same (here are 2 grey) but after looking at the schematic I figured it would work fine. In fact, the old "white" was one of the gray wires of the new one. The others are all the same (although green/brown was reversed). Judging by the diagram, this shouldn't matter, and in the end the fan works perfectly…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Just right for lighting and ceiling fans

I love my ceiling fan. One day when it stopped spinning, I queued to have it replaced only to find that it was no longer in production. I'm not doing DIY at the moment, but I really like the design of my fan as it fits perfectly with the decor of our room. So I googled why my fan isn't spinning and found that stupid capacitor is a common culprit. I opened my fan, looked up the model number and ordered it. It was pretty easy to install and after a few months it's working fine. So if you want to…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fan now works in accessory

Hunter ceiling fan no longer works. conforms to uF specifications. TOOLS: - Wire cutters/wire strippers - Caps (16 gauge) (up to 5) STEPS: (After the original capacitor is exposed) 1. Make sure the power is off. (I just made sure the wall switch was off. You can consider the electrical panel DANGEROUS unless you know it's 100% off.) 2. Cut 3 wires on the fan (from the cord switch to the old one capacitor) and Unscrew the cap for 2 wires from the motor.3. Stripped 1/4 inch cut wires on pull…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
