Wagner brake pads - good product, wrong picture

Product picture is wrong. It's actually a set of rear brake pads. It fits perfectly on my 2001 Odyssey. Good quality product.

Pros
  • Brake system
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The hole where the emergency brake attached was too small

The hole where the emergency brake attached was too small for my 2000 Honda Odyssey LX. It took me about 5 minutes with a file on each side to get the hole to the right size. It's hard to imagine that such an important detail escaped their engineers. Otherwise, the brake pads are installed and work well. I wrote to Federal Mogul customer service and they asked me to return the pad to the place of purchase. The pads were already installed so that didn't help.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Good but not great

Terrible Quality Control

There was a time when the name Federal-Mogul (the parent company of Wagner Brake Products) on a part was your guarantee of a quality product. Well, apparently things have changed. The liners on 3 of the 4 boots were misaligned with the metal boot and there were drips of glue in various places. Two had the side of the metal shoe worn away. In other cases, the liner would bump against the baseplate and prevent the shoe from fitting properly. Either those pads were never tested, or nobody cared…

Cons
  • Reliability
