Squirrels won't eat it

I bought this and put it in a bowl on the porch so the squirrels don't have to jump on the hanging feeder to keep the birds away. The squirrels ignored this and continued to eat the Audubon Park wild bird feeder in the feeder. I put some birdseed on the porch railing and they ate it while the birds ate off the porch even after I went on the porch.

Pros
  • Attracts small animals in the garden like rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels
Cons
  • There are caveats

Too Much Cheap Corn Litter

I've had plenty of experience with Wagners, but this mix is too rich in cheap corn for any pet, not even squirrels, to eat. They throw it away and leave a mess that I was afraid would attract rats and mice. I'm rummaging in my bag to salvage sunflower seeds and peanuts but I would NOT recommend this product. From now on I'll just stick with seeds.

Pros
  • Ground Feeding or Platform Feeder
Cons
  • Secret

Impressive mix, great product

I always have wildlife peanuts in stock but when my order was delayed I decided to order two packs . After putting it in the squirrel feeder and on my patio, it was like an announcement to the local wildlife. I have never seen so much activity in my garden! It's a bit pricey, but it's a really good mix of seeds, nuts, and grains that looks edible to humans and doesn't have that weird smell that most mixes have.

Pros
  • Keeps playful squirrels and small animals fed by being distracted by the birdhouses
Cons

Create a love triangle - with a crow, a jay, and a dove!

This is a blend of primarily corn, black sunflower, traditional birdseed and a small amount of raw peanuts. I'll take it by the handful and toss it in the backyard. The results were magical. I love crows and make sure they see me when I start to throw. They start their croaking by announcing the event (at least that's what happens in my head). Yesterday a dove, a jay and a crow walked in a triangle formation, feasting on treats and not playing any cruel jokes at all. I wish there were more…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Flawed
