🚲 Wald Hardware 215 for Bicycle Rack Review

Wald Hardware successfully connected a Wald 215 bike rack to my bike. BUT ONLY AFTER I found a video on You Tube that gave me the correct instructions to install the hardware. I couldn't have done it without the instructions in the box.

Great product, ridiculously easy to install when you can't without instructions. Maybe you shouldn't buy a shelf from Revain and just go to the store. I modified mine to fit my Kilo TT as my bike doesn't have a traditional wheelbase and is a bit narrower.

Ordered basket and rack for two different bikes. Using and bending the forest fittings for the 215 bike rack proved tricky to assemble. A bike rack was connected to a brake mount on an old custom bike. The hike also connects to the seatpost mounting bolt via a hardware bend. Additional bold fonts are also needed. I was able to attach the removed reflectors to the back of the basket. The product was made in the USA. Assembly instructions are useless but some are online

The included screws are too short to fit a standard Schwinn mountain bike. They need to be about 1/4 inch longer to be useful. They must have been designed for a bike with a very thin frame. They also don't include a screw to attach to the brake mount. A new set of nuts and bolts is not expensive to buy, it's just annoying that I have to drive to the hardware store to get what should actually be standard. I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I also looked through tons of bike racks and had no trouble identifying what it was. The only problem I found is that the bolts are all the same size (short) so you need a long bolt to attach it to the bike frame itself. Very durable, well made.
