Didn't come with a battery pack.

It was advertised as coming with a 10 year battery, which it doesn't. This requires three AA batteries. I bought it because I thought the battery would last ten years. This is for my RV.

Terrible product combo smoke and carbon monoxide alarm

I put this in my car, drove it on the road, put it in a box. I did everything I could to stop the noise. Finally, to stop him, I got him out of the car and threw him in the trash can. It is very bad

Battery claims 10 years but not included

I'm disappointed that this metal detector claims a 10 year battery life just like those that include sealed batteries, but this detector doesn't include batteries and can't do anything like that. Accurate battery life information as this depends on what type of batteries you are using. This is simply not true for other devices in a similar price range that have a dedicated, similarly priced, included battery.

Life saving for fire safety

I recently moved into a new house and have inherited appliances from the 70's. After installing these smoke/CO2 detectors (which was easy) I didn't think much about them other than liking the look and the LED display. You will need this if you are using oil for heating or cooking. This includes propane, natural gas, kerosene, oil, etc. or do you have a garage attached to your home. 3 AA batteries required, can be placed anywhere, perfect for my laundry

batteries required, 3 AA. As with any basic battery powered smoke/carbon monoxide alarm, the batteries should be changed every 6 months. Other than a permanently installed battery, I've never owned a battery with batteries (and usually have to buy a separate 9 volt battery). So for me that's fine.
