Failed in less than 2 years

Bought for my wife's 2006 Sienna XLE. The fit was close to OEM but the metal as others have stated is not up to standard. The metal started cracking after less than 2 years and due to the many cracks it is difficult to find any leaks at this point. We hope Walker will support their product and send a replacement. I will update when I get an answer.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Obsolete model

First impression, a good replacement for the catalytic converter.

Purchased for 2004 RX330. It weighs significantly less than a standard piece, raising some concerns about its lifespan. However, my check engine light eventually went out and my car passed the emissions. I'm happy. I would give 5 stars but the fit was a little less than perfect. It required 2 gaskets to connect and seal it from the exhaust.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Massive cracks after a year.

Massive manifold cracks on cylinder #6. This was well tested and much cheaper than the Toyota part but about a year after installing I started hearing exhaust noise. I finally ripped it open today and the manifold in cylinder #6 has blown completely with massive cracks. Walker's website says there is a 5 year guarantee on the structure so I think I'll give it a try but the only contact options are by phone or mail.

  • Good thing
Cons
  • Something else

I bought front and rear catalytic converters (bank 1 and bank 2 converters) in February 2016. The rear catalytic converter started making noises after an 11 month local ride in Las Vegas, Nevada (about 9,000 miles) due to a small crack in a steel pipe on the manifold. At that point, I didn't realize how bad it was going to get. After 16 months, the exhaust leak made such a loud noise that it shocked all nearby animals that even smoke began to enter the driver's compartment. And the crack became

Perfect fit and the van loves them!

I installed front and rear (front on this list) catalytic converters on my friend's 2005 Toyota Sienna with 213,000 miles. Codes P0430 (both cats are bad). Of course, the trader wanted to charge him the equivalent of Kenya's GDP to replace both cats. After searching for the best converter deals, we found them. Of course, there are a lot of thoughts on OEM vs. aftermarket converters, and I honestly don't know what I think. But I do know that $180 is a lot easier to swallow than $600. Plus, when…

Will continue to work after 63,000 miles

In May 2015 (more than six years) I installed this converter and it is still working well after 63,000 miles. I was surprised to see the cracking issues some buyers are having. I had to buy new exhaust bolts and gaskets to install it on my 2006 Toyota Sienna. I also bought a new exhaust gasket from the dealer and torqued the 14mm nuts to 36 ft/lbs. Personally, I would buy it again, although 6 years later it has become more expensive: $210 vs. $293 now.

Pros
  • PERFORMANCE EPA COMPLIANT – For use on 1996 and later OBDII vehicles. Illegal for sale or use in California and Colorado. Legal in New York and Mexico only for vehicles equipped with EPA federal emissions. Please refer to your state's aftermarket regulations for details.
Cons
  • I will add later
