Great fit. Welds perfectly.

Great product! Fits my Impala perfectly. To install, cut the exhaust just before the muffler. The exhaust slides perfectly into the new muffler inlet to weld together.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad

GREAT MUFFLER: Muffler

Great muffler, you will love it, you need a 2 1/4 x 2 1/8 ID adapter. And 2---- 2 1/4 clamps cut the muffler pipe next to the muffler, put the adapter on the clip (took 10 minutes of joy

Great Price Muffler

Muffler was a perfect match for a 2008 Chevy Impala. I bought an Advanced Auto 2.25 extension tube with a flared end, it works great. Rubber suspensions are lined up. Muffler nice and quiet, worth the money!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Too short. on parts

Does not look like the original muffler. It is about 2 inches shorter and does not reach the support bracket. I had to move the mount closer to this silencer to make it work. Not a deal breaker, just be aware.

Worked great on a 2007 Impala.

Worked great for a 2007 Impala. You will need to purchase 2-2 1/4" exhaust clamps and a 2 1/4 ID x 2 1/8 ID pipe adapter. Cut the old muffler as flush as possible. The whole job will take about 10 minutes if you do this do have chainsaws - everything and a set of ramps Sounds great or no sound is great!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Silencer does not fit directly. At least 3 inches shorter

These muffler brackets don't reach far enough. They cause the rubber mounts to stretch slightly at an angle. The factory motor is about 3 inches longer. On the other hand, with a trip to Autozone, a 2-1/4 ID x 2-1/4 O pipe and two muffler clamps, this was an easy decision. This muffler is very quiet and has the right holes for proper water delivery. Only 3 stars because it is listed as straight forward. And believe me, I literally cut the pipe right off the stock muffler and still had to buy an

Fits great, sounds good.

I used a metal blade in my Ryobi cordless reciprocating saw and cut the existing exhaust pipe as close to the old muffler as possible. Without removing the passenger side rear wheel it was difficult to cut off the top of the exhaust, so I cut off all but 1/4" to 1/2" and then pulled the muffler out of the two rubber isolators at the end of the exhaust . "twistedโ€ the silencer several times so that the rest of the metal burst. The hooks on the new muffler fit snugly into the rubber isolators and
