Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Your Ride with Walker Exhaust SoundFX 18948 Exhaust Muffler by Edward Mcnamara

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits great, sounds good.

I used a metal blade in my Ryobi cordless reciprocating saw and cut the existing exhaust pipe as close to the old muffler as possible. Without removing the passenger side rear wheel it was difficult to cut off the top of the exhaust, so I cut off all but 1/4" to 1/2" and then pulled the muffler out of the two rubber isolators at the end of the exhaust . "twistedโ€ the silencer several times so that the rest of the metal burst. The hooks on the new muffler fit snugly into the rubber isolators and the old exhaust went into the new muffler with no problem. I placed the recommended U-clamp on the muffler inlet, made sure the old exhaust pipe was good enough inside, then used a 1/2 inch (?) deep socket to tighten the nuts. It was immediately clear that the old silencer was long overdue. The new muffler fitted perfectly, with a total installation time of less than 30 minutes after driving the car up the ramp, removing the old muffler and driving down the street for a test drive. My wife noticed that she now hears wind noise when driving instead of exhaust hum, I think next time I'll change the door seals.
