Auto parts store vs amazon.

Even my local auto parts store couldn't get it right. Not only did I pay less, it fit perfectly and works like a charm. Thanks for the Walker parts and Amazon.

Pros
  • Used to measure coolant temperature
Cons

Not working: Sensors

I installed this on my c10 and it doesn't work. He will read cold, and after a scream, simply overheating will fire. When I hook up the scanner to the motor, it reads around 180. Now I'm looking for a new sensor.

Pros
  • Installation type: Vehicle specific
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Always use a manual meter, don't trust anything electronic.

I replaced the transmitter unit and the sensor also gets 20-30 degrees warmer than the manual one. I trust the manual because I have a new 180* thermostat and they match. an electronic gauge on the dash (not much) so I always use manual oil and temp gauges.

Pros
  • Sends the received information to the on-board computer
Cons
  • In principle, everything is fine, but...

Faulty sensor - didn't last 2 weeks

This sensor was installed less than 2 weeks ago in a 6.2 liter CUCV (Chevrolet K30 military truck ) Installed ). And today the "idiotic" engine temp light came on. I just recently installed a real temp gauge so I could see the engine temp was fine, around 180-190 (the thermostat is 180 on the engine). But I checked the radiator anyway, and even though we drove the truck into the shop, it was still cool enough for me to remove the top (covered with a thick rag, just in case), and there was no…

Cons
  • Poorly thought out
