I used these stacked discs to hide an unsightly ceiling mounted switch box. Worked great. The only problem was that some parts were knotty. Also, when I cut the 4" hole in the middle, sometimes the wood splits. When doing difficult jobs, take extra tools with you.

You must be a lot smarter than I thought. I used to buy a few at the hardware store that were too small for what I needed so I went to Revain. That's very pleasant. Too good for what I use them for. They could very well be the top and bottom of a homemade turntable for decorating cookies. If I need the records again I will buy them.

This is a smart choice for a great value display stand. The wood is pine and well put together. The loin board was used to create the 8 inch piece. The edge is machined and has tool marks and a rough texture. It can be sanded to smooth the outside edge. Wood lends itself well to staining, and using a product like True Oil after staining can achieve a shine that makes the base look more expensive.

Well they should remove this photo from this ad. The disc had a HUGE wooden knot on the surface. Quality as in the photo. For my purpose. I can live with a knot. But the QUALITY is not as shown. WARNING. If you are looking for a flawless surface, you will not get it. I will not return the item. It was a decent price for the size and as I said earlier the knot is not a labor issue it is a cosmetic one. TO UPDATE. photo attached
