If you bought the oars from Michael they are a bit smaller (width) and a bit thin but I like them. I sell custom paddles and the light weight makes them a bit cheaper to ship. They take stains well (if you decide to paint) and are very smooth. 10/10 recommend repeat purchase.

My friends and I wanted to make paddles for our college hall and they were perfect for it! We used acrylic paints and it only took a few coats to make them look very vibrant and they are lighter (weight) but it works if you want to hang them on the wall! definitely recommend!

Not very difficult. Exactly as described but when it comes to knots it's a godsend. If you paint it, it's perfect. If you want to color it, a few knots can add character to it. If you cut it, some knots might get in the way. Still a great buy.
