It is true that the small magnetic car mount is a large ring that you only attach to 1/4 of the ring. but my magnet (anchor) is strong enough to hold the phone perfectly in place. Then when I'm at my desk, I just put my phone on the wireless charger and it works! The cover does not need to be removed. I have recommended this ring to all my friends!

I travel with cases and magnetic rings for the Magsafe charger, especially for the car. Unfortunately, the rings aren't magnetic enough to even keep it on the charger.
