Bought this coat for my 7 year old son. I bought him a size 8 hoping there would be room inside so he would be big enough for next winter. But for now it's just right for him and will probably be too small/tight next winter. This coat is so cute despite being soft on the inside. Let's see if it stays dry after the snow at the weekend. Runs small, buy 2 sizes up if you want a puffy fit. But very cute and warm coat!

The coat is soft and warm, but a little cozy. The coat runs small, but the hood is large. I ordered a size larger. I liked it and my kids will be warm.

Update: I had to update my review. It tore at the seam, under the armpit. It's definitely not for rough kids. My son doesn't like winter coats, but he hates longer, thicker ones. This coat is perfect for him. It's not bulky, but not too light either. It has a soft, plush-like lining. It hits just below his waist and the sleeves are the perfect length (they're a bit big for him as he's skinny). My son is a size 8/10 and I ordered a 10/12.

Looks great on my son, he's been using it every day since buying it. We live in New York and this season the temperature was only 25 degrees and it was fine with a light sweater under a hat and a scarf. The only thing I don't like is the zippered hood because my son played with it and even went to school without a hood for a few days. Also, in the middle of the chest, right where the zipper ends, there is a spot always exposed to the cold. Be sure to use a scarf to hide this stain.
