As others have said, this requires custom sized sandpaper. To use half a sheet (as per description) you will need 3/4 inch extra sandpaper on each side (1.5 inch total). If you try to use a third sheet of sandpaper, the sander will be too long to wrap the sandpaper around the ends. This leaves you with a 3 inch strip.

I bought this to clean walls before wallpapering. It does a great job. It is very light but still durable; and it holds the paper securely. My only complaint: the description says it supports 1/2 sheet of standard 9x11 sandpaper. It's not like this. The pillow is only 3 3/8 inches wide. It doesn't support full half sheet. It's still a good buy and I can see a lot of value in it.
