These parts are durable. I bought a universal kit from Autozone but didn't want to risk build quality. These warriors' shackles are made of durable metal and are about twice as thick as Autozone's. I lifted my 1997 Ford Explorer XL myself. You will need a jack and an extra jack. Jack up the car. off the frame with a jack, and then use the jack between the leaf springs and the frame to align the holes. Unscrew the bolt and thick rod and hit to pull out the original bolt.

Pros
  • Slim design

Cheap Sport Trac Lift

If you mount them in the rear and twist the torsion bars in the front you get a very cheap and efficient 2-3" lift for the 1st generation Explorer Sport Trac. This product/method has allowed me to fit 32" rough terrain tires with adequate clearance.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Easy lift on 1996 Ford Explorer

Easy installation to replace the stock struts on the 1996 Ford Explorer. I put about 1.5" on one side and 1.625" on the other side. A great combination with TT to balance everything. Nothing is specified in the instructions, but make sure you mount it with the longer arms pointing up toward the frame to allow for "travel" when the suspension flexes.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Upgradeable

very strong solid construction easy to install

super easy installation has become easier now since I used to replace it with standard. Comes with brackets and bolts with torque nuts only, no bushings, very strong. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't come with an installation guide. They have a longer side and a shorter side I guessed. It comes with several pamphlets so they put out literature. The finish feels solid and clean. I'll let you know in a year or so that the rear wheel will be about 1 inch from the bearing.

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • boring packaging

Rating of the shackle after 3 years of use and 25,000 miles later: 5 STARS

I bought it in July 2014 so I can say I had enough time to really appreciate this product. This brace replaced the bent original rear brace on my 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8-AWD that had 237,000 miles at the time. The Warrior Shackle definitely offered 1-1.5 inches of additional rear lift and gave it the sportier look I was looking for. Now, in November 2017, it's still holding up very well. There are a few rust spots and I suspect there will be some paint chipping/peeling given the NE…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
