It was well packaged. ability to use them. I had one that exploded and I had to put it back together. Look for thin spots around the elements on the bottom as that's where mine starts to rust a bit after 4-5 months of use. I first used vinegar to clean mine. Then I got Kleenz Sulfamic Acid (sp) and they pretty much do the same thing. Therefore, the question of whether to use it is debatable. The pitcher is heavy when full and requires a strong, steady hand to pour it slowly to avoid spilling it

I like this distillery. I use it once or twice a day and have been doing it for 8 months now. I use it every day and it works perfectly. The water tastes great. I have water from a sulphurous well, and there is nothing in that water except, of course, water. The solution they give to clean the debris that builds up inside also works well.
