These floor mats are hard wearing. If you live in the Midwest or some other place that needs an entrance, this works really well. I've been buying these for years now and they are durable, vacuum pack well and the color choices allow you to match many decor items although I've only bought red, blue and gray so far. I've seen them in offices too, so you know they can handle a lot of traffic. If you really need to catch something, don't waste your money on a decorative rug. Just take it.

It doesn't rain much where I live but I'm sure they absorb water well. We have a lot of dirty soles and using this mat to clean shoes and even take shoes off goes a long way in keeping floors clean. Carpets are easy to clean. Since most of the soil we add is dry, I take it outside and give it a good shake, put it back in place and vacuum it. Every few months when it's hot outside, I scrub them with soapy water, then hose them down and let them air dry. A good product. Durable and useful.

The carpet looks about what I expected. Beautiful design with edges. There are short hard rubber tabs (?) on the back which I believe will secure them to the carpeting. I'm not sure how I feel about this for my hardwood. The springs can be 1/16 inch and have a flat top, so I don't think they will dig into the ground, just keep them from slipping. I ordered the size '3' x 5' but it's actually 35' x 58'. I've only had it for about a month but it hasn't shown any signs of wear yet so I assume that
