Description of 🌡️ Jaybva Waterproof K Type Grounded Thermocouple: High-Performance Temperature Sensor Probe for PID Controller - 2m Insulation Lead Shield Wire, NPT 1/4 inch Pipe Thread, 0~500℃ Range

Grounded thermocouple . The K thermocouple temperature sensor is waterproof . This is a water tight sensor probe. The K type temperature sensor probe temperature range is 0~500°C . Accuracy : 0.2 . This K temperature sensor is rustproof , it is made from stainless steel . Water proof Insulation Lead. Cable : The wire of this K sensor is compesation wire with shield feature . Length of the line is 2m (79inch) . Cable: 78.7 inch ( 2m ) metal braided line . The wire is made of shielded glass fiber wire ,thr wire can withstand 600°C high temperature . It is compesation wire with shield feature . Much better than Teflon . This K thermocouple can be used with Inkbird MYPIN universal input PID temperature controller . Tips: Please don't use the thermocouple under high pressure !.

Great value for money

Definitely not lab quality but good enough for my cooking system. Accuracy is within 2F (ie +/- 1F). Connected to a K-type box and it works great.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rusty and inaccurate.

Waterproof but not rust resistant. Rusted after first use. Inaccurate. Mostly 10 degrees, but sometimes 24 degrees. At 212 degrees 215 was displayed, at 80 degrees 104 and at 58 degrees 67.9. (On the photo)

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Useless features

Consistent but reading incorrect temperature.

Be sure to check the accuracy and set it accordingly on your temperature controller. Mine read about 4 degrees on 2 separate controllers. A fixable issue in most controllers, so not a big deal if you're just using a temperature sensor.

Missing item in temperature controls

The reason I gave such a bad review is because they weren't even in the box. I ordered two items: a 110 volt heating element and two thermocouples which weren't so I set up a return area on the mobile app and couldn't specify it anywhere so I made a return with missing or defective parts. It looks like I'll be returning the empty box!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some bugs

For those looking for mV ratings, the 2 probes provided showed the following: Ref Junction Temp 26°C/80°F, 0.038 mV(C)/0.021234 mV(F) millivolts per degree. Accuracy temperature: +/-1 degree, +/-0.05 mV. The sensor is made of stainless steel as listed, however the strain relief spring on the cable must not interfere with the operation of the sensor. 4-star rating due to lack of product specs and no manufacturers listed to obtain product datasheets. In general, the product conforms to the…

Pros
  • Wire: The K-line of this sensor is a balance wire with a shielding function. The cord is 2 m long. Cable: 78.7 inch (2m) braided metal cable. The wire is made of shielded fiberglass, the wire can withstand high temperature 600℃. This is a shielded compensation line. Much better than Teflon.
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It works as advertised

I can't complain if the sensor just works and it does. I have a Type-K sensor connected to an InkBird PID controller, replacing the stock one it came with. This thermocouple screws right into the existing 1/4" screw terminal on my pan and makes a good seal when tightened. The temp readings are pretty damn accurate and the stainless finish on the thermocouple looks nice. The braided cord on this pickup is quite long and tends to get nasty creases so be careful with that. All in all I would…

Pros
  • K type temperature sensor probe temperature range is 0~500℃. Accuracy: 0.2.
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works great for a year.

I used this probe to measure the temperature at the top of a column. Worked great three times I used it. Yesterday I used this probe again and it didn't work. Controller Error Code: Open circuit to sensor. I checked with a meter and it was open between the + wire and the two - wires. Further investigation by opening the wires and found that both wires between the probe and connector were broken. The cable is very poorly made. This cable looked great with a braided stainless steel finish and…

Pros
  • Grounded thermocouple. The K thermocouple temperature sensor is waterproof. This is a waterproof sensor probe
Cons
  • Some errors
