Description of Watts Premier 531417 Reverse Osmosis

This Reverse Osmosis system consists of four stages of filtration based upon these treatments: sediment pre-filter reduces dirt, silt and rust; the carbon pre-filter reduces chlorine taste and odors and conditions the water before it is treated by the reverse osmosis membrane; the 50 GPD membrane reduces TDS and other contaminants like chromium, arsenic, copper, lead, and the VOC Carbon Post-Filter reduces chemicals like MTBE's, atrazine, benzene, 2,4-D, and lindane Sediment (WP105311), Carbon (WP105351), 50 GPD Membrane (WP105331) and Post VOC Carbon (WP105381). The system includes a RO Pure Reverse Osmosis module with four pre-installed filters; a parts bag; a brushed nickel, top-mount twist faucet, and 3 gallon storage tank giving you crystal clear, high-quality, and great-tasting drinking water. This space-saving, compact design allows this system to fit comfortably under your sink, requires fewer tube connections, includes back-flow prevention valves installed between the elements and cartridges have double O-rings so they won't leak. The easy, quick-change push release filter system allows for easy filter change with no need to shut off the water source, is installed with check valves in the filter lid between cartridges to prevent back-flow and shut off valves in each filter head that shuts off the water flow when cartridges are removed. Maximum operating pressure is 80 psi and to maintain top performance replace sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6 months, VOC carbon filter every 12 months, and the membrane every 2 to 5 years.

Great system! Repurchaser

This is the third Watts Premier system I have installed. I am still very satisfied with the design, the ease of installation and the quality of both the product and the water produced. The ease of replacing the cartridge is the reason I keep buying this unit (I must add, for different households). The only thing is the bends Watts puts in the plastic tube. Many years ago my first system had a leak problem as the heat used to bend the tube caused it to become oval and the o-rings did not seal…

Broken pieces are best for kitchen and bathroom appliances

The order arrived in an undamaged box, but part of the faucet was broken and we couldn't install it. The part where the red hose attaches was broken - the inner box it came in was also intact so I believe it was sent to us in a broken condition. Also, the red hose that was supposed to be attached to the broken part had to have a missing flow restrictor. I've had a Watts filtration system at home for the last 15 years and decided to upgrade to a newer one when my old system's tank failed - due…

2 out of 2 systems are leaking.

I first bought this system a few years ago for its seemingly easy installation and easy filter change. Immediately after installation, I noticed that the faucet was leaking. I thought I made a mistake installing it and trying to make sure I tightened everything properly. Does not matter. Unfortunately, I had already put so much time and effort into installing it that I didn't want to take it apart and send it back. Big mistake! The system had been leaking for years, so we started putting a jug…
