I was impressed when I first set up this hub. It's smaller than comparable USB hubs, but has four data ports and a fast charge port. It looks good with my other peripherals. Additionally, it comes with a USB 3.0 data cable and power cord to provide devices with more power than is typically available from a computer port. Unfortunately, any USB devices connected to the hub's four data ports when connected to any of my computers - Windows, Mac, or Linux - only ever achieve USB 2.0 speeds…

Pros
  • 4K UHD Display: HDMI V1.4 via USB3.1 (VESA Alternate Mode), support for video output max. resolution up to 4K@30Hz. Mirror or extend your screen perfectly.
Cons
  • Not sure

USB View reports that in the SuperSpeed USB Capability Descriptor section for wSpeedsSupported: 0x0E -> Supports full speed operation -> Supports high speed operation -> Supports SuperSpeed operation. I ran a (simplified) test by copying a really big file to an empty drive. The time was basically the same across this hub and straight from the back of the PC. However, there is a message at the top of the USB view that says "High Speed: None. High Speed: No", which is conflicting and I…

Pros
  • Multi-expansion: Turn 1 USB-C port into 1 HDMI 1.4 port, 1 USB-C port, 2 USB-A ports, 1 TF/SD card reader and 1 Micro SD card reader. Meet all your needs, the camera is easy to use.
Cons

Is working. With select devices

I really wanted this USB hub to work, but some of my devices just won't work with it. I have a steel Rival 600 series mouse that suddenly shuts down about every 30 minutes. I also have a Sennheiser PC 363D headset that also doesn't work (sometimes undetectable). I've never had any problems with either of them. Not a big deal for me either, but maybe for others my mousepad and steel series mouse should be synced to RGB. There is a lag with this hub that renders RGB unusable. At the same time…

Pros
  • Super Speed Transfer: 2 USB-A ports, USB 3.0 data transfer rates upscaled to 5 Gbps, reverse USB 2.0; 1 USB-C port supports PD upstream charging and 2.0 data transmission; Built-in TF/SD and Micro SD card readers support SD V1.0/v1.1/v2.0/V3.01 and V5.0, SDHC/SDXC (capacity up to 2TB).

This item is great for old MacBook Pro

I've been fiddling with the cables for a long time on my 2015 MacBook Pro. I often use a DVD drive and an external hard drive for Time Machine backups. Second external hard drive for my iTunes library and various flash drives. With 2 Thunderbolt ports and 2 USB 3 ports, this was annoying at times. Not to mention the need to regularly restart Time Machine. This hub works great with multiple drives and can power a portable external hard drive.

Pros
  • Efficient Heat Dissipation: Compared with plastic, aluminum alloy has stronger heat dissipation effect. Ensure security and reliability.
Cons
  • No paint required
