WD N750 router not working as advertised, only 72.2 Mbps

Bought 2 of these from Smileys Goods and neither connect wirelessly at speeds over 72 Mbps/ s. Tried to send both back and got message as they are new contact manufacturer. That's why online shopping sucks. not a happy customer

Pros
  • Wireless data rate up to 300+450 Mbps
Cons
  • Repair

Rather spend a little more for something better.

I expected this to increase my range around the house compared to my current modem/router. To my disappointment this is not the case. My original Xfinity modem/router works just as well and I still have terrible signal upstairs in my house.

Pros
  • Super fast HD streaming for watching videos on multiple devices
Cons
  • Security

It's still too early to tell.

Too early to tell. Everything works fine except for the old netbook with XP. The router does not know. Our other Windows 7 and 8 devices and our son's Android tablet and iPod work great. I have yet to speak to Toshiba and this is our last chance. My ISP, Western Digital, both say it's someone else's problem. I've heard this with computers for over 30 years, so we'll see. . .

Pros
  • FasTrack technology accelerates multiple simultaneous HD streams
Cons
  • Vulgarity
