The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Bought for PS5. Additionally, I bought a radiator for it, but as a result, it was not possible to install it in the console with a radiator (either the console itself did not see the board, or it was buggy / did not want to turn on). In fact, I had to install memory without a heatsink. After 4 hours of use (approximate time), the console gave information about the overheating of the board. Now additional memory is used solely as a place to store games

Pros
  • Excellent data transfer rate
Cons
  • Overheats quickly

I thought it would be hellishly warm, in fact, during normal work with a PC - 40-45 degrees. For some operations with files ~50. During the game, the heating of the video card gives it about 5 degrees (I have it in the slot above the video card). During the benchmark, I saw 80 degrees in the crystalmark. Haven't installed a radiator yet. With its pros: Set and forget. Very nimble. There is a version with a built-in radiator. It seems to work well with PS5. With its cons: Price, took for ~ 18k…

I bought it for the future Windows 11 and Direct Storage, as well as for direct connection to the processor. Offloads the chipset and QPI. With a good radiator, it does not heat up more than 50 degrees. Without a radiator - instantly (a few seconds of active use) heats up to 80 C. In the comments on review sites, they wrote about lags and system hangs for 10-12 seconds after deleting large files. Nonsense. In any case, at the beginning of August 2022 there is a new firmware, there is nothing…

Pros
  • 1. Speed (repeat 7 times). High IOPS. 2. Standard form factor m.2 2280 m-key 3. Cold with a separately purchased radiator. 4. 600 TBW resource 5. For PS5 lovers - suitable for her.
Cons
  • 1. I do not advise you to seriously load without using at least a simple radiator. Warming up. on one of the sites it was advised to remove the sticker, but this will also void the warranty. I do not advise. 2. Current price on . I bought a lot cheaper

WD Black SN850 500GB. Well I spent more dollars to get this fast SSD. It's the same as the others, just more expensive. I ran this on a new 11th Gen Intel 11400 CPU with new Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite m/b Corsair 3200 RAM with all drivers in win10. Temp was 102F for takeoff and climbed to 127F after 6th takeoff, has heat shield m/b. Updated firmware ver. 613000WD with WD Dashboard and Game Mode enabled. Buy a 1TB SSD as fast as this one for the same money. Sorry WD.Edit - I take it back, my…

Works with expanded PS5 storage!

I joined the PS5 beta program and wanted to expand the m.2 SSD storage in the console. I ventured out to try this drive after reading their measurements and speed claims and this drive seemed to agree with all of them. I went with 500GB only because of the cost/risk. I think it's safe to try the 1TB version if you're serious. I'm glad that WD has once again provided a decent product for gamers.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Easy installation but make sure to use the CPU slot not the motherboard one as my TRX0-40 doesn't work. The clone speed estimate was too low. I had to install from scratch from a screw USB. get high speed. I have other WDs and Seagates as well as an Intel 900P and wouldn't buy them as a replacement as it's not that much faster. For fresh installs, this is the best SSD. I'd love to hear from others about the magic of getting 38781 speed with Passmark. My setup is a Threadripper 3970x. Yes, this…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great for storing games

I bought a 2TB WD SN850 and a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. The plan was to install W10 on Samsung and games on WD (not flooded yet). Willy-nilly, Samsung installed it in the m.2 slot closest to the processor, and WD in the farthest slot. Didn't know then that it matters. As a result, Samsung has a read speed of around 7000 while WD has around 6000. The bottom line is that it matters which m.2 slot the drive is plugged into. Whether to change? .. not decided. When I do this, my Samsung just gets a…

WD JOIN THE WORK

I first bought a WD 2TB NVME to use as my primary OS but it couldn't even be properly migrated/cloned with their own software. I downloaded third party migration/cloning software and it didn't work either. I tried almost everything I could in 1.5 days! I even tried doing a manual backup/restore and then restoring. Nothing worked. It was a waste of time. I didn't even learn anything from doing this, other than to realize that I should go with a company that has an all-in-one solution readily…

Video Editing Game Changer

I use this disc for video editing, I used to have many moments waiting for files to load. All my cpu ram gpu's are top notch but my hard drive was a huge mechanical one. I ordered this in the hope that it would somehow change my workflow. IT FOUND IT! That's it, no more waiting for loads, everything loads quickly when I swipe, add effects, etc. It's insanely faster than mechanical drives and significantly faster than my SSD drives. I bought the 2TB version and while it's expensive, 4th Gen NVME

Very fast on computers and accessories

Installed this disc and installed Windows and now I'm getting closer to speed performance after having to change a few things. Please read my tips, they can help you and save you from disappointment and possibly even a return. To get the best speed, it must be installed on a PCIe 4.0 compatible motherboard with a PCIe 4.0 compatible processor. I use this in the Asus X570 Tuf Gaming Plus with Ryzen 3900X. This also needs to be installed in the M.2 slot closest to the CPU that has a direct…
