I bought a very small used LCD monitor from a thrift store and needed a way to mount it in portrait mode to use as a second monitor for legal research . The website opens on my left and I work on the right. I needed a really flat stand with a very small base. That was excellent. Check dimensions before ordering - the distance from the base to the bottom of the screw holes on the mount is approximately the span of an open palm (thumb to pinky).

Great stand for my second monitor. It has a small footprint and is very solid. I needed a stand that would set my monitor low on my desk and also be adjustable. I almost took off the sprocket as it is very stiff at the adjustment points and won't come off. It's a bit of a hassle to get it where you want it to be, but once it's there it's very durable. You just need to be careful not to use the monitor to adjust the stand to avoid damaging the screen.

Some people think this is a normal product but I had a very very hard time getting the monitor to a lower position when it was in a higher position. For people who don't need to increase and/or decrease altitude very often, this might work. When I managed to lower the monitor, I had the impression that it might fall forward due to the weight of the extension. My monitor is not that heavy. I would suggest a device that can be attached to a table with simple tension adjustment. Adjustment to this
