When I tried this item I was disappointed by how easily it shook and wobbled. It felt as if it might break with the slightest pressure. Unfortunately, this made using it for even basic cutting tasks difficult and a bit stressful....

I wish I had discovered the Novolene block years ago! It works damn well for punching leather. It might be a bit pricey, but my sewing iron and leather punch stay nice and sharp. It holds up much better than the kitchen cutting boards I've used in the past. It also makes my beautiful fiancee happy because I don't have to carry her cutting boards around to use at the leather shop.
