Very strong but you need a solid construction to secure it, not a flimsy table. The holders hold very well and are easy to adjust. The phone holder is great for many phone sizes. I wish the light was a bit brighter and had more options, but it definitely makes a difference and was just what I needed for Hangouts and creating videos for my classes. If you are a professional video maker, the light may not be enough for you.
