Not suitable for water bath

Disappointed that the seals only lasted for a sous vide bath. The second time I only used them 1/2, the seals fit properly.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Useless features

broken can: food container

One of the cans was broken upon arrival. I wanted to replace the bank but instead I have to send them all back and then the loan is issued. I don't want to start all over again, it would be better if they sent me a glass to replace. The rest of the jars look ok and I'm really excited to try them out.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Cracked in a crème brûlée sous vide cup after three uses

I love these little jars, although fillings and caps are a little tricky to keep track of. attractive, wide opening, easy to clean. What I didn't like was the loss of two glasses in the sous vide (181F) crème brûlée bath after just three uses. Seems a bit short lived for reuse and ability to withstand heat flow. They also went into the bath warm since the cream was warmed up before mixing with the yolks/sugar. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • A new competition has arrived

Durable, stackable, elegant canning solution.

Love these jars over regular mason jars, this system will save you money in the long run as the lids don't have to be replaced every year. Stylish and very durable, this is my pick for canning. Once done you can remove the clips, you can grab the lid of the jar and it closes perfectly, another clue is that the little rubber tab is slanting down when it's closed properly.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Protection

So glad I bought them

I've been using these containers for a few weeks now. I love her. I always fill them with something; Pudding leftovers, fruit, lunch, snacks. Lids without a gasket work perfectly, but with a gasket they fit tighter and are leakproof. Metal fasteners are easy to use and clean. I keep them in a small storage jar as they are easy to lose. Their size is perfect for a small meal, dessert or salad. Very easy to clean and store. You will not regret it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Excellent/stackable glass storage

These are without a doubt my favorite Weck glasses. I originally bought these as a stackable glass option to replace old Tupperware cookware. I've since used them to store homemade mayonnaise which is perfect for one batch, as well as to store prepared foods and chia seed pudding etc. They also fold well with metal clips, which saves a good amount of space in the fridge or closet. Not in use. I like them much better than stone benches, for example, which have a large base.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost never

Good, but almost great.

The bins are easy to use and easy to clean. Larger containers can help customers choose what is suitable for multiple uses. The rubber seal looks too light, but makes the containers perfectly tight. Attention, when the container is full, please make sure it is on a solid surface before lifting the lid. Otherwise you could spill the contents. The only downside for me was that the metal clips are not attached to the container and need to be kept safe. when not in use. Also, the clips are not…

They're great in the kitchen

They're perfect for sous vide and more appealing to serve than a ball. Buy a Weck can gripper to go with them. The rubber bushing and clamp concept works great. No more "screw and then half a turn" like a ball. Results: The egg bites better than the famous cafe. Small lobster tail pieces cooked in oil to die for. And it all goes in the dishwasher, the sockets on the top shelf and the clips in the cutlery basket. My guests think I'm a much better cook than I really am. I remove the clamps and…

Either Weck's price has come down a lot lately or they're not authentic

I've had Weck tins of various sizes for years and never had a problem prior to this batch. I've never broken one and dropped more than one. Half of them broke in the first 4 months of VERY normal use, and all the fillings expanded to completely unusable sizes (even after going from dishwasher to hand wash). The first cracked in sous vide. Thank goodness it was just a cheesecake and nothing more important. The second cracked when put on top of each other and wasn't careless or rude at all. The…
