Description of Wej Concrete Screws 100 Pack

DURABLE CONSTRUCTION. This Wej-It Wej-Con Concrete Screw is crafted using 1022 carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant, blue R-Blocker finish to supply long-term strength and use. Conforming to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) B117 specifications, this coating will resist 1,000 hours of salt spray. APPLICATIONS. To furnish a secure hold without requiring threaded inserts, this high-strength, case hardened screw is outfitted with twin-lead, v-notched threads for anchoring into concrete, hollow block, brick, mortar and concrete masonry units. DIFFERENT HEAD STYLES. The hex washer head has a flange that provides additional bearing surface to distribute the clamping force over a larger area, reducing damage to the fixture being fastened, while the flat head is cone shaped for use in countersunk holes and has a flat top that fits flush with the mated surface when installed, giving your work a neat finish. EASY INSTALLATION. Create the correct size hole with the included drill bit, then easily install the screw into the pre-drilled hole. The hex washer has a linear slot for use with a flat-blade driver, as well as six flat sides that a wrench can grip. Meanwhile, the Phillips drive has an x-shaped slot which accepts a Phillips driver and is designed to allow the driver to slip out of the head to help prevent over-tightening and damage. CHOICE OF SIZE. To accommodate your needs, the Hew Washer Head and the Phillips Flat Head Concrete Screws come in a variety of different sizes. It is recommended that a minimum of 1-inch and a maximum of 13⁄4-inch embedment be used in determining fastener length.

Bit useless

screws seem fine but the bit that came with the kit melted almost immediately. The depth of the first screw was not reached. Went to a hardware store for a replacement.

Rusted in two years.

The screw is completely rusted. Corrosion resistance means it will rust. I've used it to install cinder block pipe brackets that carry a 1/2 inch water line for outdoor garden faucets. The pipe is still sticking out next to the cinder block, completely unsupported and not attached to the cinder block. I'm thinking of tying the pipe to a cinder block. Cinder block with nylon rope. I figured this would last for years as it's designed for outdoor use. It wasn't like that. The stated standard for…
