A Great Solution for Solder Cleaning!

I recently purchased a solder cleaning product and was incredibly impressed by its performance. My analysis of this product showed that it's a great solution for industrial soldering applications. The cleaning process is quick and easy, and ensures a clean and tidy work surface. Not only did it clean my solder effectively, but it also removes flux residue without a problem. The only con I can think of is that it may be a bit pricey for some buyers, but the benefits definitely outweigh the cost.

Pros
  • Quick and efficient cleaning of soldering tips
Cons
  • May require frequent replacement due to small size (6mm)

Fits Weller WLC-100 Soldering Station

Fits my Weller WLC-100 Soldering Station as well as Weller brand sponges. They don't have partial cuts to remove dirt/solder. This sponge is for cleaning the soldering iron - no need to worry.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Burnt Smell - Welding Machine

They go perfectly with my WLC100 Soldering Station. When wet, they tend to puff up, which isn't a big deal. The problem, however, is that when rubbed with a hot soldering iron tip, they give off an odor that permeates the entire room. It took me a few days to figure out what was causing this smell. As others have pointed out, they also don't have slots which is usually expected. Instead, I'll try (cheaper) sponges from one of the two major US electronics component suppliers.

Pros
  • Welding Machine
Cons
  • Unsure
