Great alternative to straps.

This is the real deal. When I was a military aircraft electrician, we used this material to attach wire harnesses instead of zip ties. With the right circumferential knot, this thread will hold everything tighter than a zip tie. In addition, due to the wax coating, it does not age as quickly as screeds.

  • The best

Best-in-Hardware Lace Cord

When I was 20 years old, I learned how to tie cords as an intern at NASA. Now, as an old man, I use lace and 'tie knots' for everything. Garbage bags, string, just looking around my office I see about 10 things tied together with string. err "blackened waxed thread/cord" It seems strange that waxed thread doesn't slip -- BUT IT IS NOT MADE

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Outperforms wire harness ties.

Using wax tape instead of zip ties to inspect seat belts on airplanes. This is a great solution as the cord won't slip or scratch the wiring. It took a little practice to tie the knots and it's slower than zip ties, but it's really worth the extra time. And unlike cable ties, you always have a sufficiently long cable tie.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Repair

Very nice wax cord

I just made my first bamboo fence and this stuff worked great. It ties very well, and yet you can untie your knots if, like me, you're short on space to easily follow YouTube's instructions. In fact, I put off assembling the fence because that cord seemed very expensive, but the ease with which it worked was worth it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not the flat cable we used in avionics to tie wire harnesses together. FYI

Nice but not what I expected. This is not the flat waxed lace I used for avionics. This string looks like a slightly sticky round very strong black thread. I kept it because it will do what I want, maybe better than the flat tip I was looking for. All in all, it's a pretty good thing. I would recommend this if you know what you are getting. I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Very strong multipurpose string. Probably stronger than most twine.

A few years ago I had a similar roll of flat lace. It was used for cutting cables and bundles in production. At home I used it for anything that needed strong thread, but eventually ran out. It was a replacement for the old rope. More like a small, strong string, this rope is round rather than flat like my old roll of laces, but that makes it even better for my versatile use. It's very strong. I will never be without a role again.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Working speed
