Great Baking: Bread Makers

I ordered this because when I don't have time to bake bread by hand I prefer to use a bread maker. My 2 pound bread machine was tall and narrow and never quite rose my bread. Pictured is a multigrain bread made from my own recipe and weighs 2 pounds. It turned out beautifully with a medium crust. Only complaint, I had to knead and flatten the dough in the pan before it started rising, but I LOVE this machine. It was the first bread. The car smoked a little from the new metal, but then stopped.

Excellent bread machine for the money

I usually make dough in a bread maker instead of baking loaves in it. The dual blades and extended 3lb pan mean I can make a lot more bread dough - enough for 4 loaves. I tried baking a bread in a skillet using a 2lb loaf recipe and it browned and rose nicely. Note. I originally bought this bread maker from Williams-Sonoma but returned it because it made a horrible clanking noise while kneading. But I really liked the features so I bought a second one from Revain. This one works great. I LOVE…

good car The landscape format is a big plus.

I used to have a similar West Bend; Bearings in the pan are completely broken. Unfortunately, West Bend no longer makes pot replacements - the machine itself is fine. This machine is an improvement; The display, unlike the old one, is clearly visible and there are more programs in it. I think with any bread maker you'll get the best results if you pour out the dough before final rising, remove the blades, and shape the loaf by hand. Machines that bake a horizontal loaf are better and quite hard

This is a wonderful car!

What I like most about this machine is that it can support both simple and more complex ways of making bread. I'm a beginner and this bread maker made great bread on the first try. The guide provides both step-by-step bread-making instructions and a simple bread-making ingredient list. There are recipes for more bread types and the machine can handle multiple bread types and styles. I'm still new enough to follow the steps of making bread as the machine progresses, but I'm looking forward to…

Perfect small appliance bread

After a year of Covid our $10 Breadman bread maker died. He doesn't owe us anything because since last year he's been baking two loaves of bread a week. After reading the reviews of the West Bend High Rise Breadmaker, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The 3 pound loaf was perfect. As with most bread makers, the order in which you add the ingredients to the pan is important. First liquids (warm), then dry, then yeast. Basically it's chemistry. Level measures are important…

Appears to be very good quality.

I use it for making dough rather than baking bread. I will say that I have baked several 3 pound loaves of multigrain bread in it and the results have impressed me. Crust settings are pretty accurate. My previous bread maker had to be set to a light crust, otherwise the crust would be too dark. When I take the bread out of the machine, the blades stay on the pan so I don't have to fish them out of the bread. Cleaning is also easy. My family loves making pizza and bun dough, so we use the dough…
