A very good toaster so far. Just received it and turned the toaster on to #3 after the originally recommended burn out and it was the perfect toast. Also the way I like it. I hope it lasts and makes a perfect toast for a long time to come.

Firstly, toast is cooked on both sides in bagel mode. Second, I don't know what waffle mode does. 3rd and most unpleasant, it is fried unevenly and gets worse over time, cleaning did not help. One side was almost burnt and the other side was barely cooked. Toasters have been around for 100 years and that's no excuse for inconsistent results.

We bought this toaster because the reviews showed it was the best ever, even consumer reviews gave it a perfect rating. After a month of use I have to say the toasting is unpredictable and you can see the small heating element wires are NOT all glowing as they should. I can toast a piece of bread that is perfect on one side and pale on the other. I'm disappointed and think it's too late to return it. This toaster looks great, has many features, toasts well etc. It toasts everything from thin slices of bread to halves of bagels with ease. to the side. There is no easy way to remove it. So it's just going to sit there and gradually burn and smoke. The tiny crumb tray is hopelessly inadequate! I thought it would help to remove the entire bottom of this toaster to clear the jam, but it's held in place with some custom screws that I don't have a driver for.
