Looks used and is very loud. Functional but very imperfect and strikingly cheap

I don't write many reviews but after opening this thing and again after installing it I felt the need. First, my switch looks like it has been used. It has a number of flaws and "dirty" spots. It's not dirt or dust that can be wiped away, just a few black dots and scratches, which is really weird and disappointing. I would imagine it would be a deal breaker for some and if I wasn't so lazy and needed it I'd probably return it for another. The switch itself makes a very loud click when pressed…

Buyer Warning! on Electrical

Update September 18, 2021 I bought a GE 18279 wireless wall switch in 2017 and it still works today September 18, 2021. So I'm offering a 'working' alternative to anyone interested. . Much luck! Works GREAT with multiple lights in the same room, but good luck getting the channel you want!

We recently moved into a rented house that has no overhead lighting in the main living room of the house. It has many large bay windows that let in a lot of light during the day, and at night it turns into a real cave.
