- Cheap if your time spent is considered free. The speed of reading small files is 10 times higher than that of a traditional HDD. I cannot rule out that any WD SSD can be changed or returned due to broken blocks - more details in the comments.
- In theory, after about a year of constant auto-ates of any software, free space is quite fragmented (because a lazy controller is in no hurry to do garbage collection), and performance is likely to decrease to the level of a regular laptop hdd (10 times faster in reading small files, and up to 10 times slower in writing large files). 1) I put it on the second disk (not immediately write valuable data), formatted it, put the file recording, went for a walk, returned, I have: - the disk has fallen off. - After a reboot, Windows does not start (although there is more Windows fault here). - when you try to enter the bios, the pc hangs 2) I downloaded the WD SSD Dashboard™ program - I think I'll see what's with the disk (after it was reanimated, though losing all the data). At first, the program told me that some functionality would not work with Windows 8.1 (like put 10), and then it completely crashed because I didn’t have an opengl 2.0 driver. The question is - what is such an urgent need for a regular program in opengl 2.0 ? The answer is, I really don't think so. 3) The record is not fast at all. The speed of writing 1MB of files to a blank disk is at the level of an 8-year-old disk at 5400. Writes smaller files faster than hdd. Larger ones are slower. And then, it speeds to an empty disk. If the disk is filled with medium files by 100%, and then 10% of randomly selected files are deleted. Then after that the speed of writing a large file will be about 15Mb / s. It seems that the disk does not have garbage collection organized, although I checked that the trim command is enabled in Windows. As a result, I have a complete loss of data, but then I worked for about a month without problems. The reason for the loss of data, I assume, is the desynchronization of the caches.
- Low price, 3-year Western Digital warranty

- Inexpensive, in this price category it is difficult to find competitors. Compact and lightweight. Reading speed corresponds to the declared.
- The manufacturer's website says "Maximum write speed 465 MB / s", which is not true. Perhaps the write speed is the only disadvantage of this SSD.
- Fast, reliable for the price, quiet.

- Windows was able to detect the drive without any delay and easily connected without any issues or noise.
- The speed does not match the one that was advertised; it does not go higher than 400 mb/s; I changed the connections since I believed it might be old; I connected everything to another computer; however, the problem still persists.
- The rate at which the system boots in comparison to the HDD Four different machines report no issues. Affordable to a large extent
- Observed pattern of rising prices Perhaps they are concerned about unexpected power disruptions.
- System boot speed relative to HDD Works fine on 4 machines Relatively low cost
- Price increase trend Perhaps afraid of sudden power outages
- Price. Fast work speed. Ease of connection. Famous brand.
- No bolts included!(
- I purchased this SSD instead of a 320 GB HDD from the same Western Digital blue for an Asher Aspire laptop. For the first time I used a solid state machine, of course heaven and earth, shook an old laptop, now it’s much more pleasant to use + 8 gigabytes of RAM instead of 2 gigabytes. I watched a lot of comparisons of analogues from gigabytes, Samsung and others, but still stopped at WD, I have been using them all my life, and they have never let me down with work. Of course, this is an economical option to just rock an old computer, but this money is definitely worth it. The solid state completely met its expectations, it works perfectly, everything loads quickly, for working in text documents and surfing in the browser, that's it. I didn’t bother with tests, and a lot depends on the processor, RAM, motherboard and the ability of the sata connector, I’ll say that through the wd program, the solid state works at half strength due to a bad sata connector on my laptop.

- I decided to get an SSD for my Acer Aspire laptop rather than a hard disk drive with 320 gigabytes from the same manufacturer, Western Digital blue. Having used a solid state machine for the first time, of course heaven and earth, rocked an old laptop, and now it is much more enjoyable to use + 8 gigabytes of RAM rather than 2 gigabytes of RAM. I watched a lot of comparisons of counterparts from gigabytes, Samsung, and other companies, but I still stopped at WD since I have been using them my whole life, and they have never let me down with their performance at work. Although it is possible to save money by simply using an older computer, I would recommend spending the extra cash on something more modern. For the purposes of working in text documents and browsing the web using a browser, the solid state totally exceeded its expectations; it functions properly; everything loads swiftly; and that is it. I didn’t bother with tests, and a lot depends on the processor, RAM, motherboard and the ability of the sata connector, I’ll say that through the wd program, the solid state works at half strength due to a bad sata connector on my laptop.
