The right product for me, there were no problems.

I have been using two such drives in RAID0 in a NAS from Synology for 8 months now. The manufacturer positions them as a storage for video surveillance systems that write several data streams at the same time, and therefore, for light server needs, the disk is in fact also quite good. Pretty good speed characteristics (linear read/write up to 170/160, copes well enough with random read-write operations - tests are easily searched on the Internet); low noise level (on most operations they are…

    Pros

    No cables / 931GB capacity not 1TB

Comes with no sata cable, this is the ONLY hard drive to be expected, but actual drive size is 931GB not 1024 which is full terabytes. If you want a 1TB hard drive, you'll need to buy multiple drives.

    Pros
    • Excellent overall performance
    Cons
    • Low maintainability

    Reliable cheap drive

Not the fastest on the market but the name is well known and the price is excellent. I've been using it as extra storage on my computer for about a month now. I can't even hear him running.

    • Few competitors

    • There are doubts

Works great on my 16 camera system

I had to replace one on my 16 Q-See camera system. There was this constant beeping sound, so when I replaced it with a new hard drive it worked great! It's perfect, easy to install and format.

    • Waiting too long

    CRAPPY DRIVE on Data Storage

I bought this drive to replace my main drive which failed after 12 years. This means that Western Digital writes a disc read error 50% of the time. I have to restart my computer to fix the problem, sometimes 3 times for it to work. I advise against buying this brand.

    Pros
    • Holding my fists
    Cons
    • Hard to say

    Big budget drives for servers

Purchased 4 for a server with Raid 10 security cameras Works great. They're a little noisy, but they're not annoying and I never need to hear them unless I'm in the basement.

    Pros
    • One year trial
    Cons
    • Sad bundle
