Haven't tried other products

Plain and simple, I'll just stick with Westones. I found other brands to be ok but I would rate these as spot on. Very happy with the sound quality as well as the very good fit and seal.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not sure if I'm using them correctly

Ummmm Have them for the inner ear monitors in my group. Fuzz Bass Amazing, my Apple headphones sound perfect through my amp, same goes for my iPod. Must be something I'm missing here as I'm new to IEMS at the moment

Pros
  • Wide spectrum
Cons
  • Some bugs

Nothing for keyboard players

I play the keyboard in a band and like a balanced sound spectrum in the headphones with little bass presence. They didn't meet my needs within their frequency spectrum. Don't get me wrong, these are great in-ear headphones (and great company) but not for an instrumentalist like me. I would say an appeal to acoustic/electric guitarists and singers.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Protection

I spent the money and bought the UM Pro 20. For 299.00 they are by no means "cheap". However, this article falls under that old raise that we've all heard once or twice in our lives. "You get what you pay for". These headphones are definitely of high quality and offer sound reproduction at any volume and caliber that many will not even appreciate, being only used to 'average' sound.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Disappointed in Headphones

I bought these headphones I hope great sound. But disappointed with their sound quality. They felt like a CD compared to the warm sound of a record. The overall sound quality lacks the warmth of the sound. The build quality is excellent, but opening the case wasn't that easy. But I think you could get used to it. Of course I was hoping that I would hear a great sound, but it wasn't.

Pros
  • Full Set
Cons
  • Having problems

I spent the money and bought a UM Pro 20. For 299.00 Don does not mean "cheap". However, this article falls under that old raise that we've all heard once or twice in our lives. Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

New fan after a few Shure. Cable could be better.

I like them better than my previous Shure SE-425. Sounds great, you have more headroom from distortion and the longer pieces of foam are comfortable and help with sealing. Two negatives: I'm not a big fan of coiled cords (Shure had a much nicer, thicker braided cord), and while I like the little Pelican-style carrying case, it's a bit small and you have to be very careful stuffing everything around not to close the cable cover.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

HORRIBLE LOSS 💰

Worst in-ear sound I've ever heard considering the price. You don't really get what you pay for with them. The middle frequencies are superior to the low and high frequencies. and even then the mids sound terrible, I bought them because I have a pair of AKG N5005's which are amazing and I needed something to use on the go to avoid wear and tear. But these Westone UM Pro 20s are literally offensive to the ear. Build quality is terrible too, feels like cheap plastic, SUPER thin. For almost $200…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Low repairability
