🚲 700C/29 Alloy Hybrid/Comfort Double Wall Wheel Master Review

I ordered a full set of these and they were an improvement over the single wall freewheel type I had previously. They are fine and still holding up.

Nice strong wheels bought as a kit for a cycling project. Obviously not compatible with disc brakes. If you still rock rim brakes and need a reliable and durable replacement wheelset. That will be a worthy candidate!

Very good budget wheel for 700c hybrid bikes. They appear to be quite well built and straight. Not the lightest, but pretty strong. Hubs on tapered and ball bearings. And they were a little tight so I had to adjust them a bit. 700c wheels at a great price.

This product is very unsafe and defective without rim/spoke tape. The first bump you hit gives you a flat. just pray it's not too fast. This also comes with a quick release lever INSIDE the wheel (not on the hub where it should be) so the QR looks bent [I'll admit I won't really look at the QR on the outside of the wheel since unboxing everything would make return impossible]. The Schrader valve port is no Presta - you'll get mud and rocks on the pipe for more potential flats! NEVER order…

This wheel solved a problem I had when I made two changes to my riding style this year: 1) longer distances and 2) trails that weren't in perfect condition. On my old 32 spoke wheels (also with 2 walls) the spokes started to break. So I bought this wheel with 36 spokes and 2 walls. I haven't broken a single spoke in hundreds of miles and have been able to carry more weight when traveling. The discs have an interesting and unexpected feature. The rims are flat and roomy, giving my V-Brake pads…

These are cheap wheels. All parts are good on their own. But the build quality of a bike wheel really makes or breaks it. These are machines. But they are badly built. I bought some Wheelmaster wheels. Everyone had problems. I buy them because they are cheap and I can fix them myself. They are cheaper than I can buy individual parts and assemble from scratch myself; that's why i buy them. This one arrived about 1/4 inch off center. This leads to difficulty following a straight line on the bike.
