Wheels Manufacturing Dropout 65 Derailleur Hanger Review

As it is machined and not cast it should be stronger than the original. The first one they sent me got lost on delivery but this one arrived before we really needed it.

This is a good aftermarket derailleur hanger for specialty bikes. Be sure to visit the Wheels Mfg. website to find out what suspension is right for your bike. The Dropout-65 was a perfect match for my 2011 Stumpjumper EVO.

The product is exactly as described and appears to be of better quality than the original. Suitable for Rockhopper 2019/20 model. Bought after a little standoff with Wood 2, it makes sense to keep one in the toolbox as a spare for future falls.

This hanger fits my 2010 Specialized FSRxc with no problems. Both are slightly loose at the dropout, but just apply the lube as directed.

I bought this as a spare for my 2016 Specialized Fatboy. It appears to be well made and will fit. I won't know until my current one breaks and I replace it with this one how well it works. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Well made product, I was impressed. Works well instead of the factory hanger and is cheaper. A factory derailleur hanger is more expensive, but it's just cast aluminum. My only concern is that due to its mechanical construction, this product may not shear as easily as a factory hanger. This can make it easier to damage your switch, but the increased durability can be seen as a good thing. Again this is a guess, it could very well be designed to shear on impact and protect your derailleur.

Worked great for me. Replaced a broken bracket. Just wanted to point out that some reviews mention that OEMs are just cheap castings. First, they can be faked. Sometimes it's hard to tell just by looking at it. It could be extrusion. The stress fracture grain structure can sometimes look like the grain structure of a casting. The original derailleur hanger broke after 8 years of use, including being dropped in the wrong place which could be the cause to bend over time. It broke at the most inopportune moment for my 10 year old, in the evening when it started to rain - like most traffic problems as the last moment finds it. .
