Has stood in place and still works well

Our dryer has started to trip the "non-resettable" temperature limiter constantly. So I replaced the regular thermostat with a non-resettable one. Which immediately jumped out again. The old coil didn't appear to be short anywhere on the chassis and the resistance was measured correctly. But I've noticed that some of the ceramic posts have turned slightly green, almost like corrosion. However, measuring from the coil inputs to the chassis gave a reading of several megohms, when it should have…

Works great, DIY saved me $$$, easy fix (once you know it's the part you want)

Purchased to replace the heating element in Kenmore Elite HE3 Electric Dryer Model 110.84836201 After realizing that our dryer was no longer heating we had to do a lot of googling to figure out how to diagnose the problem. This was probably the most difficult part of the whole process. On the internet I was able to find a service technician manual that describes all the different tests and diagnostics step by step.
