Purchased to replace the heating element in Kenmore Elite HE3 Electric Dryer Model 110.84836201 After realizing that our dryer was no longer heating we had to do a lot of googling to figure out how to diagnose the problem. This was probably the most difficult part of the whole process. On the internet I was able to find a service technician manual that describes all the different tests and diagnostics step by step. This requires some engineering skill and dexterity (e.g. using a multimeter) but I was able to confirm conclusively that the heating element had failed. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to supply a replacement. next day prime at a good price. Pulling out the old heating element was easier than inserting the new one - it required a bit of wiggling and some brute force to get it in. Also, this was a pretty simple fix that saved me from a few errors. one hundred dollars for a service visit. One piece of advice is a good opportunity to clean the inside of the dryer by removing the front panel. I was surprised by the amount of lint and dust that has accumulated in the dryer cabinet.
