I can't be satisfied with this teapot if after 2 uses all the rust spots on the bottom are inside. I tried to remove the rust but most of the stains wouldn't budge. This should not happen after multiple uses. Isn't that surgical grade stainless steel? It is said to have 5 layers. Or, as it says on the packaging, 100% BPA-free and made of stainless steel. Beautiful kettle. It's big enough to hold hot water for a couple of cups of tea, but not so big that it overwhelms the top-of-the-line. The handle stays cool unless it's on a very large burner that allows a lot of heat to radiate off the sides. The whistle is a nice sound, loud enough to be heard but not like the banshees screaming in your kitchen. The simple design with a matte finish looks very nice and is easy to clean up. This kettle whistles but the water takes a VERY long time to boil. The kettle held 11 measuring cups of water (not 3 litres) when filled to the max mark. The handle stayed cold when the water boiled and the button on the handle kept the spout lid open while pouring without having to constantly press the button. I use these every morning and evening. It works well but I didn't notice that this kettle heats water faster than my old one which started dripping. Because I use it so often. I keep water in it all the time and in the two months I've had it there have been no problems. It looks good. Smooth inner and outer surfaces are easy to clean.
