There is no coffee without them!

These discs are getting harder and harder to come by if you use a mini percolator like me. They are BEST at preventing the sentence from turning into coffee. Easy to insert and remove, and the price is right on. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • For old

Still leaking soil

I was looking for filters for a coffee maker. It looked just right. I have found that they still put a lot of coffee grounds in my coffee. I even grind the grains coarsely, but still a lot of grinding. They appear to be the right size, but the bases look like they've been filtered by the power of seepage.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Something is wrong

They do their thing with percolator coffee machines.

I really liked these filters. They solved a problem we had with our percolator coffee maker, which was the coffee grounds going through the metal filter into the coffee. With these filters, that no longer happens. The only downside is that I found much cheaper filters at our local grocery store. Hence the four stars instead of five.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Tradeable

This product arrived covered in a very strong perfume scent!

My wife has reactive respiratory disease and this product arrived with the smell of the product and the packaging was saturated with a very strong perfumed fragrance. It smelled like incense, only a lot stronger! I had to throw it out (outside) as the smell was overpowering and blocked my wife's airway (she was 10ft from me). This is the first time I have received a strong smelling product. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

round filter?

I have ordered percolator filters that can be closed. They are good because they contain wet crumbs. Then they are simply thrown away - no mess. Instead I ended up with circles just covering the bottom of the metal coffee filter. They don't do the job. The semolina gets into the pan, creating a mess of crumbs that need to be removed and the need to wash the inside of the pan. Others wrap and surround the mess. The circle ends in my shell. So, Melita, do you still make percolator filters?

Pros
  • disposable filter
Cons
  • disappearing

The quality of Melitta Filter is the best in the world!

I use them in my coffee maker and they are easy to clean as the ground coffee doesn't get caught in the holes in the basket. But mostly because the filter holds back oil and bitter deposits for a smoother brew. I also use them in a French Press! Melitta Benz was the inventor of the coffee filter in 1908 (check out the story on her website!), and the company still sticks to the quality of the paper! I also use their cone filters in my drip kettle. No other brand would use.

  • Coffee Filter

Nice to have flat filters again

I have an old Krups Moka Brew 8 cup coffee maker and its basket requires flat disc filters. Many companies have stopped production. They work, although I have to use two of them because they are SLIGHTLY too small in diameter and have valves/holes in the center to accommodate the percolator shaft. By using two filters and moving them slightly to the bottom of the shallow basket, I can solve both of these problems fairly reliably. Using them is a much better option than buying basket filters and
