Whiteside Router Bits 2164 Diameter: Experience Precision and Durability Review

I make custom-made boards and round the boards 1x on frames. After spending some time setting the correct cutting height, they are perfect. I ran about 10,000 feet 1x through these routers on my router table. They leave a good edge, and the various shims and adjustments that come with the kit make it easy to get it right. The bearing feels solid between the cutter heads. Definitely a solid purchase and product.

What a treat to use this beat! Once you set it to a specific board thickness (simply by simply swapping shims between cutters), it cuts like a dream and makes that tedious job a whole lot easier. I build furniture. Most need to loosen the edges to feel comfortable in the hand. This bit halves the time required. Whiteside Carbide is the best in the business, so it has no flaws. Comes with 1/32 and 1/16 shims so you can stock it anywhere from 3/4" to 1-1/4" The edges at a 1 "Round off a thick piece and it works like a charm, halves the milling time. I first set it to exactly 1" which was a mistake because the wood is too thick from the factory. Once I've cropped the size, it works beautifully and saves me time. After all, time is money.
