Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I didn’t ate the firmware, as they say: it works - don’t touch)) everything works fine for me and on the standard 3341, I turned on 2 guest networks in different ranges (you can make 6 guest networks in total, 3 for each range) without protection and distribute wifi neighbors :) but in general I really liked the structure of building the settings, everything is logical and consistent, there are even links to the necessary settings in the right places, you don’t need to poke through the menus…

Pros
  • 1. excellent coverage, completely breaks through a 4-room apartment, even reaches balconies :) 2. 512 MB of RAM, which is important for my tasks 3. powerful dual-core processor, which also played a role in choosing a router 4. he knows how to install everything he needs (torrent client, etc.) 5. home ftp is very convenient :) 6. ddns access to the router (to FTP too) is also a very convenient and necessary thing 7. 2 usb ports, where you can plug 2 screws (in the absence of 2 screws, I plugged 2 flash drives of 64GB each, it’s also completely okay) 8. 2 wan ports, you can either make a channel reservation or traffic parallelization 9. all the main parameters are configured in just 10 minutes 10. the market has software for managing the router, which is also quite convenient 11. A 3-year warranty from the manufacturer is very good, considering that stores are now trying not to give a guarantee for more than 2 weeks. 12. well, how not to mention the cool design and the huge box in which it was packed))) in this regard, everything is at the highest level

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

Before that, there was Apple Airport Extreme, which, after 6 years of operation, refused to let the ipTV provider pass, and a month later it died completely. Then I took the Buffalo AC1750, which was faster than Apple, but much weaker in range and constantly losing wifi. And finally, I took ASUS RT-AC88U. It seems that he moved from the Zhiguli to the Bugatti. Even the torrent client downloads faster than on Synology DS414j through the same router.

Pros
  • Great unit! 1. Simple and maximum settings for everything that is possible. 2. Built-in torrent client - a fairy tale. You can add files directly from the Windows desktop. 3. WiFi coverage area. Through four reinforced concrete walls 90% of the signal! 4. Design. Simply beautiful!
Cons
  • Price but worth it!

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

The only purpose of this review is to warn future owners of this router - do not ate the firmware (microcode) in any case ! Mine came with version 3.0.0.4_380_858, everything worked right away (including 2.4 and 5G). Followed the recommendations from the user manual and ated the microcode to version 380_2345. After the ate, 5G disappeared . At first I decided that something had burned out . but a long search in the ASUS forums helped - I found in a discussion of a completely different router…

Pros
  • Speed, design, ease of installation and administration
Cons
  • price. and see comments

Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

I decided to purchase it after reading the reviews that were posted on this market. A previous model, the Asus RT-N12, came before it. On the other hand, I required a dual band. In addition to that, in order to operate the RT-N12, I was required to make use of a signal booster made by TP-Link. What can I say . TP-Link was the first thing I got rid of. The strength of the signal is now sufficient to "rookery" (this is about 9 meters to the router). Therefore, if 2.4 GHz transmits a signal that…

Pros
  • Appearance, user-friendliness of the website interface
Cons
  • Due to the poor quality of the 5 GHz transmission, the torrent client moves at a glacial pace. warm without becoming overly heated.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Its pros: Before that, there was AC66U, it did not cover the whole house of 3 floors. This one "shines" on 3 floors easily in the range of 2.4, at 5 it is certainly not so long-range. Its cons: There is a problem with channels, setting a free channel by hand is solved (if there is a lot of WiFi around, it's still better to do it).

We have loved ASUS for a long time and judging by our routers, this love is mutual! They didn’t come to her right away, they tried different routers over the past 10 years. And now, following the results of trials / errors / repairs, ASUS RT-AC68U came to our house. For the entire period of its use, only one advantage. But due to some of our personal "cockroaches" and "wants of a true blonde" (read: my wife - "I want the same, but with mother-of-pearl buttons"), we set out to find a router for…

Pros
  • Model of 2022, nice appearance, clear interface, good technical characteristics.
Cons
  • until you find flaws

Nothing special, there are positive and negative sides.

Did not live up to expectations, so I decided to get another one. It is too late to turn back, and I require a minimum of eight ports. It was a waste of my money. Not really familiar with how the Asus works with completed firmware, but everything seems to be quite disappointing thus far. You will first need to download it to your computer, after which you will need to move it to your hard drive via the network. After that, you will be able to watch it from any device. Has pros: The USB 3.0 port

Im not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

Did not live up to expectations, I buy a repeater. It's too late to return, and I need at least 8 ports. Not worth my money. Not very aware of how the asus with finished firmware, but so far everything is rather sad. Now you have to download to your computer, and then transfer it over the network to your hard drive, and then you can already watch from any device. Has pros: Lots of ports, easy to set up, the ability to work as an entry-level network storage through the usb 3.0 port. Fast work in

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

Another product that ASUS considers to be part of their flagship lineup. What can I say? Three out of four routers were brought back to the shop where they were purchased. The work on step 4 has not been finished yet. The RT-AC5300 model was the one that kicked everything off. The excellence of the router itself completely overpowered the excitement of making the purchase. The frequencies of the network stopped working. Flashing is not helpful in any way, and it is apparent that this mental…

Pros
  • 1. Beautiful design 2. the operationalization of 3. The user-friendliness of the website interface 4. A configurable setting
Cons
  • 1. The standard of the device 2. Instability of the device

Not everything is so bad, the average purchase in quality.

I bought myself 2 of these routers for the aimesh technology. The first and main router worked for half a year and is still working today. The second router after 2 weeks fell off 5ghz wifi. The diode on the router is off, there is no network. after setting up aimesh. it is impossible to go to the slave router. You can't see or configure anything in it. all attempts are automatically redirected to the main router. Below they wrote about the versions of the assemblies, I did not check, I handed…

Pros
  • Powerful stuffing, the declared technologies are there. Bought for aimesh
Cons
  • The second router dropped 5ghz. The work of aimesh is not clear. most likely does not work because there is no normal roaming.

It is impossible to use, a bad product.

I purchased this router due to the presence of 8 ports, simple setup and speed that suits me. At the same time, I doubted for a long time, because. I already had the experience of communicating with an Asus router, which periodically fell off the wifi network (if there were no devices on the network for more than a day). As a result, I still purchased it, but literally a couple of months after the purchase, wifi networks (2 and 5 Ghz) turned off, the settings page works with wild brakes, the…

Pros
  • The interface is really "user friendly", the setup is very simple and fast. 8 ports.
Cons
  • The router turned out to be very weak - there was practically no communication in the room located two walls from the communication device (foam concrete walls). A couple of months after the purchase, the wifi network died. Repair required.

I've never seen worse! Horrible purchase.

For that kind of money, you can buy a full-fledged mesh, or four mikrotik ac2, and not this underrouter! A year later, 5GHz fell off. Judging by the messages on the forums, this is their , chip , such.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Firmware ate does not kill 5GHz. It turned out that the old firmware set channel 140 by default (132, 136, 140 - they work quite well, but with width restrictions), the new ones use channel 100 by default - all my devices (phone, xbox one - so same as all channels in the range 100-116). Manual installation - helps until Smart Connect is turned on (there is only Auto - channel 100: D). In the new firmware, there are no channels 116 and higher at all. I had to calculate myself, the support is…

Pros
  • Nimble. Now I dream about >100Mbit from the provider.
Cons
  • Firmware curves. WTFast is absolutely useless: it works with a small number of games, I didn’t notice any difference on CS:GO. It would be more useful to have some kind of fast VPN thread somewhere to the states of Europe, without a limit and stupid blocking :)

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

I really liked this purchase. Setting up the router is very simple, everyone can figure it out. Excellent transfer speed and stable ping in the game thanks to the Game Acceletator, I did not observe drawdowns during the games. A beautiful design reminiscent of a spacecraft, the size is impressive compared to what was before Zyxel Keenetik. The indoor coverage area is amazing, I live in a country house of 400 sq. M. The wi-fi network is distributed throughout the house. Various devices are…

Pros
  • Powerful, stable signal, beautiful design, wide coverage area
Cons
  • WTfast supports few games. When connecting a USB modem to the back of the router, the antenna interferes

The average product, you can find a better one.

It so happened that I am the owner of two copies of this device. There were no special problems with the first, except for dancing with a tambourine when activating the "AC" wireless data transfer mode - the notorious problem with channel selection. But after I set everything up, there were no more complaints - everything flies and 40MB / s when transferring data from a NAS over the air is not the limit. But with the second one, the situation is already worse - an hour after the purchase, the…

Pros
  • Fast, good coverage, fully exploits the capabilities of the NAS when transferring data over the air.
Cons
  • It gets very hot, the percentage of marriage

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

Firmware ate does not destroy 5GHz. It turns out that the older version of the firmware had channel 140 set as the default (132, 136, and 140 all operate pretty well, but have width constraints), while the newer versions use channel 100 as the default for all of my devices (phone, xbox one - so same as all channels in the range 100-116). Installation by hand is helpful up until the point where Smart Connect is activated (there is only Auto - channel 100: D). The most recent firmware does not…

Pros
  • Nimble. My current goal is to have a connection speed of at least 100 Mbps from my provider.
Cons
  • The curvature of the hardware. WTFast is completely pointless because it only works with a limited number of games; for example, in CS:GO, I did not see any change. It would be more beneficial to have some type of fast VPN thread somewhere that connects to the states of Europe, without any kind of limit or dumb blocking:)

Disappointed with the purchase, useless products.

Very strange, the engineers approached this router, the memory is constantly leaking, there is no reserve, the percentage is fully loaded. And this is just when copying files from one machine . What will happen to it if you give it a load from several computers is not clear. Due to jambs with the disk, long replacements await me . I would advise you to take the previous, time-tested model.

Pros
  • 5 GHz breaks through a load-bearing wall. Everything is very simple and quick to set up. I connected the disk, pressed a couple of buttons and everywhere you can already watch movies. Files are downloaded via wire at a speed of ~ 100 MB / s. 8022022ac has not yet been verified, 8022022n gives files at 20 Mb / s. If you upload files one at a time, then everything is fine. In general, in terms of build quality, in appearance it is a very impressive device, but the infection is buggy =( About this below
Cons
  • Here they wrote that A3 is buggy, but I have revision A6 and also hellish glitches. When you try to copy files in 2 streams over a 5 GHz network, the disk starts to fall off, one at a time seems to be normal. Falls off steadily and literally in a minute. During operation, the memory is stably clogged by 95%, if you upload files, then the processor is also loaded at 100%. The interface starts to blunt .

I have an Asus RT-AC88U hardware revision A5 that works for half a year without any complaints. Yesterday I bought another one but with a hardware revision of A3, worked for one hour, after which wifi 5 gigahertz disappeared and problems began with the web interface in terms of setting up wifi. ps when buying, pay attention to the hardware version do not take A3, there are no complaints about other versions of such a shaft. The hardware version is indicated on the nameplate of the box in the…

Pros
  • 1) 8 Lan ports 2) double wan For me, this was the minimum set, and there are no competitors with such a set.
Cons
  • 1) and the MAIN DISADVANTAGE! : This is a hardware revision of A3, judging by the information I found, in more than 50% of cases, the routers of this revision fail in the first week, and specifically wifi 5 gigahertz fails. 2) CPU temperature reaches 86 degrees
