I had to remove and reinstall the dog flap. The original plugs broke when pulled out to access the screws. They fit the frame perfectly; A tap with a rubber mallet snapped them into place with no problem. The door looks great.

They make good replacements for loose or discolored plugs. Correct size is important, but a bit of silicone can help if they're loose. Holes tend to be uneven. Revane must define purity or stop asking about it. Apparently this is a real word.
